This is a rare opportunity for you to join a group of up to 14 folks, for a one-hour guided tour of Wohlfert Craft Distilling in Snohomish WA with the owner or distiller. Wohlfert Craft Distilling are the makers of the world’s best apple liqueur, and all of their spirits including their coffee liqueurs and vodkas, are winners of numerous highly respected world spirit competitions. We will tell you the story about our great grandparents who started distilling during the prohibition and how they were so successful at building their business during this time in history. We have carried on their successful distilling legacy today – albeit legally! You will even get to taste Great Grandpa Johann’s moonshine recipe that he crafted in his “bakeries” – our Starter Sugar Shine is our legacy to him.
You’ll get up close to all the equipment and learn how it all works to make world-class spirits. The distiller will take you through the steps of mashing, fermenting, and distilling and answer any questions you may have about the manufacturing process for both spirits and the base syrups that are made onsite that get a lot of positive mentions by experts and customers like yourselves. You’ll also get the rare opportunity to taste our spirits at 14 different stages of the distillation process, proofed down so you can sample it. Few people other than distillers know these tastes that are so vital in making great spirits.
At the end of the experience, you’ll have the opportunity to sample each of Wohlfert Craft Distilling’s products! This is a fun and educational experience for anyone that fancies themselves as a spirit connoisseur to the drinker who would just like to know a bit more about how the liquid gets in the bottle tasting so good!
